Speaker: Lydia Nguyen, US DOL Wage and Hour Division. Lydia Nguyen has been an U.S. Department of Labor Wage & Hour Investigator in Orange County for twenty years. Fluent in Vietnamese, she was one of the first investigators to partner with the Vietnamese community, providing highly praised television, radio, and newspaper interviews covering various laws the agency enforces. She has won numerous United States Secretary of Labor “Exceptional Achievement” Awards for teamwork in the areas of minimum wage enforcement and outreach in Asian American communities. Lydia studied in Santa Ana College and in California State University of Long Beach, acquiring a degree in computer science. Prior to working at the U.S. Department of Labor, she worked with Northrop as a computer programmer. Lydia has two grown daughters that have both graduated college and are following their own career dreams.
Regularly Scheduled Meetings – Chapter meetings are an ideal place to network and they provide educational opportunities for chapter members to learn more about critical payroll and compliance issues while earning Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs). Non members are charged a $20.00 Fee per Regular Meeting.
