Speaker: Paul Fleck, Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud, & Romo. Paul Fleck is the supervising partner of the firm’s private labor and employment practice group. Mr. Fleck represents management exclusively in all aspects of employment litigation and employee relations matters including claims for leave of absence violations; discrimination; wrongful termination; sexual harassment; and wage and hour violations. Mr. Fleck provides advice and counsel to employers on human resources issues and regularly conducts human resources audits, employee handbook reviews, and job audits related to wage and hour issues. Mr. Fleck conducts continuing education programs for attorneys and training programs for managers, supervisors, and human resources professionals throughout California and across the country on such topics as wage and hour, leaves of absences, discrimination, sexual harassment, hiring and firing, workers’ compensation, employee discipline, violence in the workplace, and general labor law updates. Mr. Fleck received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Human Resources from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, and his Juris Doctor from Western State University. Prior to receiving his law degree, Mr. Fleck worked in the field of human resources management at Fortune 500 and small California employers. Mr. Fleck is admitted to practice in California and the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. Mr. Fleck is a member of the State Bar of California, American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association; a Board of Director for the Santa Fe Springs Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of its Human Resources Roundtable Committee and a former Director with several Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Mr. Fleck is a frequent speaker for professional organizations, including Professionals In Human Resources Association, National Human Resources Association, Employers Group, Employers Advisory Council, and various Chambers of Commerce throughout California. Mr. Fleck has been recognized as one of the Top 2.5 percent of Southern California Rising Stars by Southern California Super Lawyers and has also appeared on Comcast Local Edition, which airs during CNN Headline.
Regularly Scheduled Meetings – Chapter meetings are an ideal place to network and they provide educational opportunities for chapter members to learn more about critical payroll and compliance issues while earning Recertification Credit Hours (RCHs). Non members are charged a $20.00 Fee per Regular Meeting.
