Speaker:  Tracy MiccicheAssociate Principal, HR Transformation, The Hackett Group. MBA, International Business, Florida Institute of Technology. BA, Economics, University of Connecticut. Tracy Micciche has over 20 years in HR & Payroll.  Over 10 years working on global HR / Payroll strategy design and implementation.  Tracy has led numerous global projects that were multifunctional with employee populations 50,000+ / country counts 65+. Tracy has worked with fortune 500 & 100 clients helping them solve some of the most complex global HR and Payroll problems.  Tracy has worked with C- Suite executives and their teams to create and implement their global HR and payroll strategies.

  • Led/ Executive Sponsor of Global HR / Payroll Strategy design created a global HR and payroll strategy. Created global service delivery model and global governance. Global HR / Payroll vendor selection and creation of business case to support the global implementation.
  • Led/ Executive Sponsor of a Global Workforce Management strategy project for a large oil and gas company. Reviewed current systems, global service delivery model. Created global processes / included unique business requirements to the oil and gas industry.
  • Led vendor selection process for domestic HR / Payroll BPO outsourcing arrangement to replace existing vendor. Collected requirement, created RFP, assisted with the weighting and scoring criteria and assisted with short list of vendors. Ran vendor selection sessions and assisted with down selection. Conducted on-site visits and assisted with contract (T&Cs). Helped procurement with industry standards (SLAs, payment terms, etc.).
  • Led global HR / Payroll transformation project which included global HR system replacement, global payroll, Service Delivery Model creation, reviewed best practices with client and developed end-to-end processes that incorporated best practice and client’s unique requirements. Business case creation and vendor selection to support new service delivery model.
  • Led numerous global HR / Payroll implementations as client PMO support. Employee population sizes over 50,000 and country counts over 65. Provided project governance, vendor governance, steering committee updates, change management and project risk / mitigation strategies.

Extensive experience analyzing and evaluating end to end payroll processing with a focus on compliance, audit, people, process and technology utilization. Successfully managed all facets of payroll processing in both public and private sector organizations, using a variety of HR, payroll and time and attendance software systems. Focused on compliance, process and process documentation, efficiency and overall governance of any employee lifecycle. Background and industry experience ranging from small start-up businesses to large corporations and higher education institution with 33,000 + employees and extensive exposure to global systems and compliance through consulting experience.

  • Directed multiple system implementation and process transformation for organizations on multiple platforms; directed process re-engineering and processes documentation for organizational transformation; served as in-house Director of Payroll for organization going through major department change.
  • Head of Global Human Resources, Payroll and Time & Attendance Compliance / Governance for a leading supplier to the global Life Science industry. Created efficiencies to reduce staff from 11 to 6 supporting all North America operation; directed successful launch of first EMD Payroll/HR Service center and utilization of new technologies/process; redesigned General Ledger software & overall accounting process to maximize; designed and implemented first business continuity plan for disaster preparedness; led EMD Serono payroll modernization plan to create greater efficacies;  recovered incorrect $250,000 IRS tax payment for organization; led implementation of ADP EV5, ERP payroll engine to provide stable scalable platform for growth; drafted first set of payroll process documentation to ensure cross training/business continuity for staff turnover.
  • Human Capital Management Consulting firm: Payroll/Time & Attendance systems:
    • Provided strategic review for Federal State and Governmental compliance in Payroll and Time & Attendance systems and production; reviewed/analyzed entire payroll lifecycle for clients and benchmarked against compliance, best practice, audit standards, technology utilization & staff productivity, documented and presented to clients for review.
    • Reviewed payroll vendor contracts, SLAs, and relationships; reviewed vendor rates for production, licenses and fees against industry standards; vendor management for issue resolution including production failures, system implementation issues, etc.
    • Systems Implementation – assisted with all system implementation phases, analysis, design, testing and go-live; directed system documentation and decision tree for historical reference.
    • Interim Payroll Manager – provided payroll department analysis, reports/status to Sr. Mgmt; provided assistance with search / selection of new permanent Payroll Manager.
